It all started as a simple idea. Create a YouTube channel. Make some videos.
A few days later a Relay Refresh YouTube Channel was born.
What happened after that was pure magic.
It took us more than a few takes but we eventually produced our first video and posted it on YouTube. #77SECONDS was up and running and we had so much fun producing seven short videos during the 2019 Relay Season.
Towards the end of the 2019 Relay Season we produced two longer videos both of which we were honored to have featured on The American Cancer website.
#ONCEINMYLIFE - Our first video was produced to help others understand the strength of the Relay community in Second Life and why we are all so committed to helping one another.
#THISFIRE - Our second video told the back story of The 5 Days of Relay where over 100 MC's and MC content creators came together for the biggest MC rally ever to kick cancer's ass. Hundreds of new people involved with Relay For Life of Second Life and a MC community now fully committed to supporting ACS.
By the end of the 2019 Relay Season we were deep into Live Streaming on FaceBook and interviewing Relayers live on the Relay track. We were honored to Live Stream the closing ceremonies and we see a future filled with lots of live streaming. As for videos, we see a lot more of them too. As we try to reach more people for Relay For Life of Second Life, we are convinced that social media is a powerful tool for us to use as we fight for a world without cancer.
